Flow

Flow

What is Flow?

You have already experienced Flow before, it was that moment when you performed at your best in an activity and felt your best doing it.  Your actions merged with awareness, your mind free from worry about failure and self-consciousness.  Sense of time seemed to change as you entered into this elated state, completely focused on what needed to be done as if nothing could stop you.

Flow is a physical experience – use your body to master your mind in motion

Getting into Flow:

  • Have a clear goal and strong intent to achieve it.
  • The activity must give you immediate feedback on your performance
  • Your skill level should just be enough to match the challenge of the task.

Your mind is extremely powerful and controls every aspect of your life.  The beliefs about yourself affect how you think and the actions you take.  The skill lies in learning how to master your mind through physical movement; being the director of your life is the new challenge.

Flow and Self Actualisation

Self Actualisation is the realisation of your full potential, seen as the ultimate motivation behind all human endeavour.  Self-actualised people experience Flow more often as a result, due to the perception of themselves as already capable and successful in their own right.  Accessing your own Flow will help to build confidence and redefine your beliefs around success, so you can start expressing yourself fully.
